Orion Experience Gig Poster

The gig poster for Orion Experience was an experiment in design and the elements that can be added to make it more effective. Holographic vinyl cut with the Cricut creates a look to emulate the band’s vibe. Each illustration was created as a vector, then turned into a png file. Once all were cut, they were very (VERY) carefully placed into their positions on the poster. The end product is a composition that catches the eye and creates excitement.

The Chosen Design & The Process

  • Step 1

The screens provided at school are a specific size, so I would be unable to screen print the entire poster at the size needed :(

Switched tactics from screen printing multiple colors to doing one color over a multi-colored background (plan: spray paint the background)

A new challenger stepping up to bat: the beloved Cricut decals

  • Step 2

On the hunt for metallic red vinyl

Running out of time, ready to drop the screen print idea and quickly move on to something else

  • Step 3

    Getting closer!

No longer doing screen print (but I now have a screen print texture over the artwork)
